Differing front and rear wheel diameters affect traction control / ESC

  1. Hi, I’m upgrading the wheels for the Meg and was wondering if anyone could answer this question.
Ideally I’d like wider front wheels than rear however there could be some change in wheel diameter by going 265 front and 245 rear, as the ratios do not match up. Clearly there’s some allowance for for tyre wear already but does anyone know if fitting slightly different diameter wheels is okay?

  2. better to calculate/compare the overall circumference

  3. so what profile ratios will these tyres be ??

  4. what is the original you have in there

  5. Thanks for the replies. Well The maths suggests that 265 35 front and 235 40 rear are actually a great match in terms of circumference. However I was wondering it I could go for 265 35 front and slightly wider rear too at 245 40 or 255 35. has anyone had experience of mismatched wheel circumferences such as these, I’m sure I’ve seen some about on Nurburgring videos. Though perhaps the traction control is constantly set to OFF
