Deciding on my first megane 250 cup, input welcome

  1. Hi Guys,

Im looking to purhase my first megane rs! It has to be a cup, preferably under 50000 miles and in the price range of 10-11500, full service history and cambelt changed.

I have seen one I like in yellow, however it has a grey front splitter on the front and rear as apposed to the more usual black,. How easy would this be to remove and get painted??

    Thanks,

In addition if anyone is thinking of selling a white grey or yellow megane that meets the above criteria please get in touch with me!

  2. First of all are you sure you want a cup and don't just want one with the cup chassis?

  3. Certain, I used to drive an ITR DC5 so im looking for a similer experience in the megane.

  4. think you would have a similar exerpience buying that has a cup pack, i would not bother buying one thats not a cup or got the cup pack though

  5. I too would go for one ff with cup chassis.
Being an ex dc5 owner (great car) you will have a similar experience, and faster!

The meg is a harsher ride

  6. Similar how? the difference is a cup has a lower spec than a full fat car with the cup chassis, same driving experience but one has climate, leather, heated seats among other bits.

It was a pointed question because people often just say 'cup' when they mean 'cup chassis' (which the cup comes with but is an option on the full fat cars).

  7. The only advantage with a basic Cup is used value (cheaper) and if you are really anal (big anus) about kerb weight. The full fat spec and options all add a bit of mass.

  8. Its got leathers and climate control, so yes its a FF with cup pack.

  9. I'm going to view the one below at the weekend, has anyone seen a colour combo on the recaros like this??

I've ran an HPI on it and it has had some outstanding finance(personnel loan) so going to get it checked out to ensure that the bank has no claim against it, but looks like an unsecured loan.

Looks like the cambelt hasn't been changed so I will need to factor that into cost and it has had an advisory on MOT for a nail in the tyre??

  10. On the second one, the Recaro inserts are just an aftermarket spray job. Not keen on outstanding finance on private sales.

  11. Yeah Ive done some more research, finance alerts with previous plates associated with the car and the tyres are cheap.
    On the next one,

    The hunt continues!

  12. Why would you leave the child seat in for the advert pictures?

  13. Prove that it's family friendly? :tearsofjoy:

  14. Prove that's it's not been spanked to death.....?
