    Anyone else going?

My friend is taking his mx5, and I'm wondering whether to go.

Is it worth having a go? I've had a little track experience including hills climbs etc.

I really want to get into more track days etc.
Any hints or tips would be great!

I've got 3 spare tyres as well, but no spare wheels.. Can I get them fitted there?

do your own thing, don't worry about chasing anyone, really worth paying £20 for tuition and an early slot, before you get carried away.
just enjoy yourself and have fun

  3. As Ian says - do your own thing etc, tuition will help you enjoy the day a lot more:

This is a really good read - a bit overkill but lots of good advise - if it feels like you are going too fast, you probably are...

Get a torque wrench to torque your wheel nuts - get a tyre pressure pen to allow for quick checking and reducing of tyre pressures, don't change anything significant with the car as the helmet and the track environment are pretty alien at first.

Watch laps of other FWD cars with diff's on the circuit for an idea of lines etc

  4. And tuitions can be bought on the day?

  5. You won't get the tyres fitted on site, Thetford or Attleborough I'm afraid. I have done the track both old and new a lot. Claim to fame was overtaking a 911 turbo in the wet! 300 is the better circuit, I will pop in with the work car, can give you pointers or if I don't need to do the briefing for being a passenger give you tuition.
