Hey, I have LY meg and came with the factory F1 decals. Just wondered what your thoughts are on whether to keep them or remove them, I'm normally a fan of less is more but seems different knowing they were on from factory. hmmm ...... cheers
Me too, I've had one without and one with, both black. I'm trying hard not to remove them as I prefer the look without.
I think the megs smooth, voluptuous shape looks ace without... but I appreciate the oem stickered look too. Saying that I also debadged mine and miss the Renault sport badge. Down to you.
The only thing that would put me off is that difference in paint colour underneath the stickers. I took off my MEGANE badge, and even after a lengthy polish/pain restorer you can still make out the MEGANE sign in some light.
Hmmm! Ye I took my megane badge off when I bought the car but a decent polish and it was soon gone. Guess I'd just have to do a test patch if I decide to go for it. Il sleep on it! cheers
Ye I think I will take them off at the weekend, weather depending. Ash87- did you leave your roof ones on?
Don't think they were specced by original owner mate, if yours are removed and cleaned properly you shouldn't have any marks left.
Iv been wanting to remove mine for a while now, but feared the stickers glue might have tarnished the paint. has anyone had trouble with their paint after removing the stickers?
I had a full set of decals on my car the paint underneath the bumper decals and door decals was okay just needed a polish to remove the slight marks left but under the roof decals is a slightly different shade of ultra blue due to what i can only imagine is from different levels of exposure to the sun. Im going to get the roof repainted at some point or have a new set of decals put on.
Well there shouldn't be any residue left it's more a case of faded paint over the years and when the decals are removed you'll have paint that's not been hit by the sun. Il take some pics this week as I'm going to do mine!
If they're fitted from the factory I'd leave them on. I do like a 'naked' Megane and certain colours like liquid yellow are all it needs to look stunning. But, they are original R26 decals and I would leave them on. Same as the Gordini stripes on my Twingo, they're staying because they're OEM.
I think they look better with them on. Not everyday you could get away with such big and in your face decals but renault pulled it off nicely
I need my rear bumper respraying the front is chipped somehow so they will both come off and then I'll decide whether to re instate them it will probably depend on how much ads wants for replacements I'm guessing they ain't cheap
They're not think they're about £70 each for the bumper decals. I use my car for work so prefer without but when it becomes my weekend toy only I have been thinking about putting on the roof and bumper decals but then again without makes polishing easier
Try these probably the best people to make them of you don't want to spend renaults shocking prices http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-M...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item461c99a621
I've never seen any non genuine decals that look any good. They are expensive (c.£45 an end) but anything else just looks gash.
