Ok, so if I fit a de cat downpipe, will I have to have my already mapped car re-mapped due to back pressure changes to ensure optimum performance?? Is there any evidence that by installing this, it can have gains of 8-10 bhp on a good strong engine?
Yes, the increase in exhaust gas flow will be huge and your turbo will likely come on boost at a different point in the Rev range so map will need adjusting to suit, shouldn’t need a full remap though.
