hi all have just signed up to the site and thought id post up a link to a thread i currently have going on detailing world rather than spending hours copying and pasting text and photos. its rather a long read so well done to anyone who can make it to the end. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=272804 regards Dave
Hi Dave I remember this thread from the other site, looks like a new paint job so credit to ya. You have given some tips in the past but there are 2 more tips I could do with 1- best way to clean the glass on the inside, no matter how much I try I keep getting that misty layer clouding up the windscreen. 2- machine polishing- any tips on the best pad, polish combo, I'm a complete novice and I am concerned I'll ruin the paint if not careful but I would like to get the swirls off my black R26 cheers Si
Thanks wanner. New suspension going on this time next week so I'll be sure to update with pictures. Dave
http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=316248 For machine polishing remember only use a small amount of polish and work it until its almost clean and broken down. Heres a link to a black R26 ive recently detailed with pad and polish info.
As for the inside of the glass. I used auto finesse crystal. My method is from the passanger seat 3 sprays onto a folded cloth. Wipe half the screen then flip the cloth and buff. Then repeat from the passanger side to do the drivers side of the glass. I might do a short guide with pictures for this as its a question I get asked a lot. Hope that helps for now. Regards Dave
I see ill research machine types to see which is best for a novice, there's so many on the market it seems confusing to see the difference for something that does only polishing. thanks for the glass tip I seem to be going wrong by coating the glass with loadsa cleaner and using a rubber wiper to clean.
