1. Hi guys anyone installed a hidden dash cam?

I dont really fancy a big old thing in the window...

    My thoughts where as follows:

Mobius with wide angle lens, lens extension cable, hardwire kit, power extension lead, capaciter to replcae battery.

Hiding the lens in the rear view mirror housing, and the actual dash cam just in front of the mirror? running the power down the a pillar to a hardwire kit taken off the cig lighter socket?

    Hopefully like this

I hope to do very similar with a möbius but was thinking maybe my auto dimming mirror has a live cable that switches on with the car that I could use. I understand that quite a few people with other cars tap into the electrics by the mirror. I'd like one in the back too at somepoint.

  3. Easier and cleaner just to tap off the internal fuse box.

You can hide the vast majority of the wiring either at the edge of the head lining or/and behind the A pillar plastics.

They are quite difficult to see from the outside, apart from the sticky mount on the front windscreen but it doesn't stand out very much and you'd be hard pressed to really recognise what they are through the glass without getting VERY close, like leaning over the front windscreen close with your hand shielding the light.

If you mount it behind the rear-view mirror like that^ as a driver you essentially can't see it either so it doesn't get in the way or distract you at all.

The rear one is impossible to make out from the outside of the car.
