   is it possible to buy the outer CV joint for a mk3 independently from the driveshaft?
   
   If so, where from? After them for both sides

   Can't buy them separately mate but they do seperate so best bet is pair of used shafts

   Try JR cv joints.
   Google them.
   Managed to get separate outer CV for a regular Meg £16. That's new posted with hub but.
