Couple of niggles

  1. Well I have had my 225 Trophy a year now and it's been excellent in most ways, mechanically its spot on and continues to put a grin on my face.

Of course though, as with the Megane II it has a couple of electrical gremlins!

Firstly the keyless entry works on the drivers door but not on the passenger door. The button to lock the doors has stopped working on both but is fine on the boot. The issues I suspect are the buttons and sensors on each door, is this a tricky and expensive job to fix?

Annoyingly they were fine when I bought the car so I suspect it being parked outside on my drive and not garaged like the previous owner had it has brought these problems out.

Also I get an 'Auto Wiper Fault' when I use the first wiper option so have no intermittent wipe, also the auto lights don't work. Not the end of the world but I assume it's s fault with the sensor on the windscreen. Again easy/hard to replace, expensive?

If I'm honest I can live with them but if I could fix them easy enough it would be nice.

  2. The sensors on the door are a piece of cake to do, the arm rest on the door card flips up and you can gain access from behind like that. As for the auto sensor on the screen, I'm not sure but I doubt it'll be cheap.

  3. Thanks mate, that doesn't sound so bad about the door sensors. Also I'm guessing I need new switches in the door handles but if it's accessible without taking the entire door card off that's not so bad.

I suspect the sensor on the windscreen wouldn't be cheap and if I'm honest it's not the most annoying niggle. I just have to turn on the wipers and headlights like a poor person!! haha
