Cooksport swap

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by JON35Y, Jan 9, 2015.

  1. Hi all, just bought a R26 which has new cooksport springs on it. The ride is a little hard for my liking so was just trying to gauge what interest would be out there to swap for some standard springs or if anyone has any lying about anywhere? Obviously will have to be in good condition and will need the springs before removing mine as it's my daily driver. Cheers

  2. I'd gladly swap but i have the same problem as mine is my daily too. Someone sell me some standard springs so i can swap?

  3. I think you'll be in for a surprise when you get the standard springs on as it's pretty much impossible to tell the difference IMO. R26s aren't the softest riding car

  4. No difference if ride really .. Cooksports might be slightly stiffer

I've got some standard r26 springs in the garage

I've also got some standard springs in the garage.

  6. Where are you based? If we are remotely close to each other I would gladly meet you 1/2 way at a garage and pay the 1/2 the total bill to have them swapped over there and then.

Mine is a r26 BTW , so Eibach Pro springs

I don't find them hard at all compared to the standard springs when driving normally. Even down a pothole ridden road by my work, there wasn't much of a difference.

  8. I'd keep the cooksports.

difference in ride is minimal, ride height is much better.

  9. I've got standard R26 springs on mine if anyone still wants to swap and I'll give some cash as well. If you're selling them let me know

  10. If you're anywhere near Yorkshire I'd meet at Mark Blacks garage in Chesterfield and pay for the labour on the swap so it cost you nothing.

  11. Where abouts are you? I've got nearly new R26 springs on mine.

  12. I'm in Newtown Mid Wales

  13. Ahhh, I'm Bedfordshire, would of been well up for this had you been closer.
