265 Condensation inside front & rear lights?

  1. Hi,
I noticed a rear light a couple of weeks back had fogged up / had condensation inside it after i'd washed the car. Then last night i noticed condensation in a front light after it had been sitting in the cold rain.
Do you think i should be worried that these aren't sealed correctly or is this in anyway normal ... car isn't a year old so i car get the dealer to resolve, i just dont want to look a cock by pointing it out to them.

    thanks

    Paul

  2. Normal.. Happened on my 225, is like it on my 250. Try and get new ones under warranty mate.

  3. new light units i assume?

  4. Yeah, they're meant to be sealed, but fail easily. Ads gave me prices and the fronts with xenons are about 200.

  5. my rears have condensation (R26) it's quite common

  6. I've been told to use silicon moister bags inside them, yet to put them in due to weather..

Front drivers one on mine has misted up. Im waitin for a dry period to take it out and put it in the airing cupboard

  8. I'm tempted to try splitting my rears and re sealing them as the condensation does me in lol

  9. I tried silicon bags, didn't do a lot!!

  10. My fronts have never done it, but my rears do. I imagine if you go to Renault they wont want to know unless moisture is building up on the inside. It might be better having a word with an MOT tester and finding out if its passable when condensed or not, that may put some weight behind your argument for getting them replaced?

  11. Dry it out and put grease around the caps, etc?
