Car packed up yesterday, the engine was good and hot after a run around and when I got back on the drive the car was idling and then it went..... Heard a king of tearing noise and then it sounded as if a belt had gone and was being dragged around the pullies but when I got out to check the car conked out. Since then my mechanic has had a butchers at it and all belts are fine and the it's of the engine are working as normal however on start up there Is no compression, is there any usual suspects to check? He said this was a common occurrence on vauxhall engines to do with the injectors but is there any other gremlins to be wary of? Any advice is much appreciated chaps, Mark.
