Hi, Anyone sold or bought from this? At the moment there is 400 mile 275 Trophy R at about £23k. Cannot surely go for this but there does not seem to be indication of a reserve? Sometimes you see stuff reappear that you thought sold? Even I would have a punt at 23k & I am not looking for a car. Must be a reserve at +30k or +35k?
I looked in to it a while ago, from what I read; You pay nothing to sell, you receive the price that the car sells for You pay a buyers fee if you purchase a car, which is 6% of the final price for buyers in the UK Just looked and the Trophy-R is at £27,000, so you would pay £28,620. I think the £27,000 goes to the seller and Collecting Cars keeps the £1620 (that's where they make their money) If you win an auction Collecting Cars automatically bills your registered card with the buyers fee, then they introduce you to to the seller to complete the transaction, probably falls thorough sometimes hence the re-listings.
https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2015-renaultsport-megane-rs-275-trophy-r-1 Here it is although ends in 2 hrs at £27.5k at mo. Nice car no doubt. Obviously needs driven! I like the comment that was advised at 7 yrs and 400 miles by Renault that cambelt did not need changing. I would like that in writing for sure!
Interestingly now showing as sold for £32.5k + £2k buyer premium. I would say this is fair price for zero mile 275 Trophy R. Pretty much list price when new. Obviously sorted post auction which finished at 27.5k.
