265 Coilovers - Ride Quality

Don't get the preload bit, surely that changes when you set the ride height, I e just watched a video of setting preload on a Coilover that's on a bench and understand what they did to set it,4mm preload but how can you set the preload she you wind the collars up against the spring to change the ride height

    Ride height on BC coilovers is adjusted by screwing the whole strut down into bottom cup. Tightening the collars onto the spring adjusts preload, 2 full turns is all that's needed.
     
  3. The bc adjusts on the bottom mount so to speak so you leave the spring seat as it is, that way you keep full damper travel and preload on the spring.

    You don't adjust the collar on the spring that stays as it is
