250 Clutch Pedal

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by nated84, Jul 4, 2019.

  1. Right, had an issue the past week where went to select gear but the clutch pedal went right down and I couldn't select any gear at all.

Me and the old man looked at the possibilities and it would appear there was a lot of air in the system which we bled out, and this seemed to have helped but my question is where would the possibility of air getting into the system get there? Would there be a leak and if so where from?

Also another note the old man said it could possibly be the master cylinder. Does anyone know where I could pick one up from as I don't want to be driving again and then be caught out and having to get the AA out to tow me home lol

    Thanks all

  2. there is clutch damper under the battery tray that are prone to leak, other than that the slave cylinder is known to fail, but i doubt that would be able to rebleed that.
