Clutch pedal noise..

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Cavell07, Sep 6, 2015.

  1. Hey guys, notice this morning that when I press the clutch in it sounds like a belt whirring slightly (best way i can describe it). This only happens when its at the biting point and further though, anybody shine some light on this before I get it looked at? Seems to be worse when its started cold but can still notice it generally.

    Cheers

  2. Possibly release bearing if the sound is there when depressed and goes away when released. If it's only noisy when releasing at the biting point it could be contamination on the facing, tbh I think mine Could be this as its started making a slight noise now and again at the biting point, and the biting point comes in quite sharply rather than gradually.

  3. Thought of a few possibilities, just hope its not a new clutch jobby. Well not yet anyway.
