    What is your engine spec?

  3. Stage 2 bigger i/c if that helps

  4. If you got the money bang an uprated one in!

  5. Like what and how much? Fitting is not a problem

  6. Ktec smf & .r clutch or the helix smf & organic clutch.

  7. What sort of money is that?

  8. ive just ordered a luk for mine, - should be here monday  just remember mate they have dual mass so check for wear etc. got a clutch centre so would advise getting it done properly night mare of a job most garages charge around £600 around here inc fitting.

shop around if you get stuck i can see what discounts i can arrange. mine started slipping in 6th about 5 month ago now its going from 1st all the way through, should get it on the ramp asap but no time for mine :worried:
    not good.

    best of luck mate

    I fit them for £200
I can supply oe spec parts for just over £600 including flywheel
    Some peoples prices are ridiculous

  10. I have a clutch specialist In my garage so I'm ok lol so if anybody needs any clutches fitting pm me lol

  11. You'll need to replace the clutch slave cylinder too .

  12. Just had a look around on euro car parts. It's actually 100 odd quid cheaper to buy the LUK clutch kit and LUK flywheel, than ktr SMF with OE clutch

  13. Looking at ktr smf and .r clutch kit, been told its a lot harsher biting point is it bad or ok?

  14. It's fine mate.

Ktec ones known to be 'better' than the helix aint it? Shame if so.

  16. Imo I'd say the ktec kit is better unless your going high power.

I absolutely hate having the Helix in my car. Expensive mistake to make.

I'd hate to line ktecs pockets so i'm flumped.

  18. Who posted a link on the other site where you could get the clutch and fly pretty cheap? Was it Gav? I rememeber the prices were pretty cheap!

  19. I am going to be calling Mr Mark Black very soon ( if he inboxes me his number again ! ) and get mine sorted.

  20. Valeo Motorsport SMF is apparently an option. I think Gav has one.

A midlands based specialist hinted at the possibility of getting something made up too.

    ^interesting.

  22. My helix organic clutch is fine, even though its heavier than standard its still usable everyday, but helix have supposedly uprated the cover further and its causing driving and reliability issues....

It could be worth someone approaching a clutch company with old standard parts to see if they can make a road friendly uprated clutch and flywheel kit?

  23. If this is the same company as I spoke to I tried a few times for a price , but I was promised a call back , but they guy was busy and an email but I never recieved it :worried:

  24. Has anyone spoken to CG motorsport in Leeds?

  25. hi guys
my clutch center is in manchester
i got my clutch LUK for around £110 - £120.00 which is mega cheap.
fitting price will be announced to everyone once i get hours to complete of my lads,
if any body wants any prices give me call 07407699756

  26. How is the LUK kit broadoakjay?

  27. Bump... mine's started to slip

  28. Get it to mark black!

  29. Ok, where is he though!?

  30. He's in Bolsover. Near to Chesterfield. Unless it is hundreds of miles, he's worth a longer trip. I won't trust another mechanic with my car.

Our cars aren't *that* exotic, but they still seem to confuse most mechanics

  31. got my money saved up, but around town and not taking it over 3k it drives fine so i might pay off my over draft and try and save up again, i thought once it slipped bin it but reckon i can get a few more month out of it

  32. Also, if you do a lot of miles look at a different clutch ti the helix. It is driveable, but it gets tiresome.

  33. Mines been fine for about a year now since I first made it slip in sixth at around 70mph on the motorway, it now slips more often if you try, but normal driving it is fine. I've done two track days in that time too, but admittedly no traffic light GPs so perhaps that is why it still works!
