I'm thinking about buying a knock off clip like this http://m.autoobdshop.co.uk/wholesal...gnostic-and-programming-tool-for-renault.html or an rs tuner. Primarily for fault finding but also for things like operating the abs pump for fluid changes etc. Can anyone recommend one over the other? I assume the rs tuner will be a bit easier to get on with but its almost €200 and needing extra modules for the brakes and things. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks
As you said already if you just want to use it for fault finding you'd need to buy extra modules. Also afaik it's not able to do test cycles. Regarding the Clip, it won't work on anything higher than windows XP. Also they seem to be a hit and miss on the functioning
I have bought a clip from a popular Flea bay internet market... It has worked perfectly fine and has helped diagnose problems on both my 182 and R26. There are compatibility issues on windows but the seller usually tells you what you can and can't have. Mine requires either XP or a 32bit install of Windows 7 which I have as a dual boot OS on the laptop. As above the RSTuner needs extra modules so can get pricey.
