  1. Cool that looks awesome . . . so a normal Meg 2.0 engine then turbo'd, not a Meg 225 engine, wonder why they done it backwards.

Has the lad still got the car?

Na I bet the labour was dear.

  2. Expensive 4 weeks but it's nearly all done.... C
    Hybrid
    DMF and Clutch
    both Driveshafts
    Belts done
    Bonnets with vents painted LY
Dimming Rear view mirror finally wired in

just leaving me needing a full set of tyres, front brake pads, stainless brake lines....then more power. Also thinking about VVT controller and custom 3' exhaust. 335bhp sounds like a good figure to aim for. Must admit car is driving absolutely. Been a great project car.

    Attached Files:

  3. Specialist Component Tornado can do VVT control and its plug n play in the OEM loom, only thing is its a bit expensive.

  4. RST said the VVT is mild on the 250 so not sure it's worth it. Think it's more for fuel consumption and emissions I recon....

  5. Probably mate. No clio 250 build has been limited by power because of the lack of VVT, not worth investing making that part work when money could be spent else where.

Out of interest what hybrid did you go for in the end?

  6. Sc did one for me. Not mapped it yet but like how it pushes the power up the Rev range. Once I've gone over 310bhp, things start getting more difficult....and expensive. 330bhp always been the target and I'm hoping the hybrid will get me close. Got about another 15bhp to make.

  7. Any one know who owns this car now?

  8. I own it now, ( Youngarthur) I have done a fair bit of work on it already, but still more to do. First track day in it on the 24feb, to give it a shakedown before Spa , on the 4/5 April.
