Hi all As stated, when I turn a corner or put wheels on full lock in getting a clicking noise coming from the front. Any ideas what this could be? I thought it was catching on the plastic arch liners as they were cracked and torn but I removed all plastics front & rear and it's still clicking? Any ideas fellas?? It's a 225 trophy BTW. Thanks
Cv joint is worn. Probably caused by a split or unclipped cv boot. New driveshaft is the solution. Lee
Thanks for all the replies lads, much appreciated. I had a quick look under car last night with a torch and it is indeed the cv boot's large clip has broken and CV joint is exposed, both sides too. Could I not just get 2 X outer CV joints rather than full recon shafts?? Thanks
Mine clicks, on full lock, both cv boots are fine & no splits. Only does it after a good thrashing when everything is very hot, cold, nothing.
Depends in how easy it is to change. Usually a wack with a hammer to put it in or knock it out is never as easy as it seams! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks for your input buddy. Front and rear end suspension is being stripped off and powder coated so will see if I can seperate the CV joint and fit a new one. Done a few before once you get the circlip out but as you say, they can be a nightmare to knock off. Got some dead blow hammers at work so will use those.
