Cleaned injectors, trouble starting

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Duke 2, Sep 18, 2014.

  1. Hi all

I have recently removed my injectors, had then cleaned and they are back in the car.

The car now idles perfectly with no stutter and there hasn't been any EML flashing like their used to be.

However, once cold the car now cranks on the starter motor much longer than it used to.

Has anyone experienced this and could maybe give me any pointers?

    Thanks

  2. am sure there was a thread about this problem on here before and that they needed run in.

  3. if they were cleaned more than 15 minutes or cleaned them consecutive to match them
the inside mechanism can get harm
thats why they were overfueling on start or on some revs
probably you smell some unburnt fuel from exhaust
    i advise to change them

  4. Mine did exactly the same when I changed my injectors. After a week or two it started instantly again.

  5. Thanks for the info people. I think I will give it another week and see if they improve at all. If not, will chuck some new ones in.
