1. Got a set of these to go in once the snow does one, has anyone run these and what do you think of them?

  2. Been using them for a year or so, still on 10% worn and still brake well.

    Make more noise though.

  3. Bit of squeal? Or noise from the grooves?

  4. I had them in the r26, amazing pads on track until the pad came away from the plate! Great stopping power, do squeel at low speeds, just brake harder

i switched up to rc6 which were another level completely like hitting a brick wall, massive overkill!

Good fast road/ light track pad. Wear well and don't make any noise.

I rate them but wouldn't use them again as they don't have the stopping power I'm used to after running RC6's/RS29's/XP10s and a few other aggressive compounds.

  6. That's actually why I opted for them, not so much overkill on the town commute and that Jamie

  7. Groove noise, they do squeal occasionally when braking gently but only very slightly.

As usual I agree with jamie they probably aren't the ultimate in stopping power but they're a noticeable upgrade from the oem ones and have only very minor draw backs if any for the much greater benefits you receive. They seem to be wearing very well too.

I use my car daily too and a lot of it is short slups to work and back and the brakes work just as well cold, bar maybe the initial brake that brushes off the oxidisation on the disk face.

What are they like for dust? Not going to ruin the paint?
The old RC5 was bad for dust but I understand the RC5+ was meant to reduce the dust.

  9. Decent all rounder then, that's what I was after.

  10. Good brakepads! Only thing is that they have a smaller backplate. So when you go in reverse and brake you hear some bonking noise. Nothing to worry about.

  11. they do make slight click sound in reverse but that'll go once the tiny gap fills with dust, excellent pad otherwise, used them for years on the Lotus and recently with Meg. Not quite as brutal as current DS11.1 and that makes RC5+
great everyday sensible priced long lasting road pad.

  12. Have the problems with them disintegrating with a few MM left / coming away from the backing plate?

Mine have done it on both compounds it but tbh you shouldn't be running your pads that low anyway, They don't really like the Cold and wet UK winter climate which contributes to them falling apart
