My R26 seems to have developed an odd chirp/squeak sound when going over bumps or rough road. I think it's coming from somewhere on the front passenger side although I'm not 100% certain. Pretty sure it's suspension rather than steering related as turning the wheel left and right while driving doesn't produce the sound. The car had new rack rod ends, drop links and anti rotation links a little under 2 years ago and new front springs just over 3 years ago. Everything else suspension related on the front is original afaik. Anyone have any ideas what might be causing the noise?
is it handling ok?..trouble is,its so hard to diagnose random noises. In the end i just refreshed everything bit by bit..
and as poppaboost says..lots of mounts to consider as well..subframe bushes,2 main engine mount, lower gearbox mount and upper dogbone mount as well as anti roll bar bushes!..fkn list is endless.
I haven't noticed anything odd with the handling, although the engine mounts might be worth looking at as there is some vibration in the cabin. It's such an odd noise though, I just can't imagine a mount making it, may have to load up the parts cannon lol.
