  1. Hope someone can help....

Switched cruise control on but got message 'check cruise control' on dash. Couldn't switch it on. Tried 'speed limiter' and worked ok. Any advice ??

    thanks

  2. Don't suppose you were in sport mode?

  3. No mate. Normal.

  4. I got this on the 225 when both break lights were blown. Changed the bulbs and it worked fine

  5. Checked brake lights ... all ok. Any more suggestions ? Ta !

  6. Is that the message you get when the car thinks tractions is broken, ie if you are in CC and you go through standing water. Or am I getting confused here?

  7. Hi

No. Normal motorway driving. Did have second service done last week tho which needed pollen filter change which I also believe needs clutch pedal removed too. Reckon this has anything to do with it ??? Just guessing .....

  8. Sorted it....there is a ball nosed push switch (in a blue plastic housing up in front of the clutch pedal which sits in another plastic housing and I think it detects if the pedal is pressed or not. The switch had come out of housing. Put back in and works fine. Thanx for the posts

  9. Good find! Where did you get it serviced? Mines in next week at SMC Aldershot....

  10. Ktec... But tbh it is well easy to dislodge. Not v gud design. I did get back to ktec to tell them and they said no problem to bring in and they would sort it at my convenience. So fair play...except I've fixed it now anyway !!!

  11. Actually I reckon the ball ended push switch had stuck in (so car / cc would think that clutch pedal was pushed down) cos I've taken it out of its holder (so it's free hanging) and cruise still works. Bet cc wouldn't deactivate tho when pressing clutch pedal unless put back in holder. Anyway it's fixed...
