One of the lads on here had one made for him but when he received it it didn't fit too well so it ended up on fleabay. I fancied one for a bit but will probably end up going down the dipped route and get the whole centre section done. Apparently the standard ones on the 225 Trophys fade and discolour a horrible yellow due to UV light as well.
I'd prefer one that's been dipped, I prefer the shiny look to the dull, but I can't find anywhere near me that does it
I think everyone just gets confused with the trophy ones. There not just carbon fibre, their carbon Kevlar fibre IIRC. That's what the yellow/ gold streaks are - if I'm thinking of the same. It doesn't look like straight up carbon fibre but I bought a set of fleabay a while back, managed to get them dirt cheap too as the seller had bought them, thought they were discoloured and flogged em on!
Heat gun about 20cm away and go over it and watch the bubbles rise and burst. Then let it harden sand till flat and smooth then go again.
ive got a mate that does carbon skinning (real carbon) - im sure he would skin it if you wanted real carbon, is coated with lacquer so would be a shiny finish like the dipped stuff - just better than the dipped fake stuff
