I've just driven back from French car show, and my Meg has decided to vibrate under load. It only really happens in 6th gear which I find odd, it was also pulling to the left and the wheel had a slight judder which may have been a lost wheel weight. I've also had the tracking done in the last few months so it's not that. The vibration comes through the pedals and floor when I hit full boost. I was only doing between 60-80 the whole way too! Anyone had this before and know what it might be?
Mine vibrates in 6th when i have my foot down, i put it down to the vibratec mounts... Can anyone confirm ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Aah to be fair I've recently changed the gearbox bush and top engine mount to polyflex, but noticed it before, maybe it's that? Car still pulled well and nothing else seemed affected
Same as mine, all 3 mounts of mine are vibratec so presume its that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
have you put an insert in lower engine mount? I did upper and gearbox one last October and the car has been geting worse vibration wise. Did lower one last week and like a new car now
if you have all vibra mounts, you've got to expect the car to vibrate, couldn't live with the car like that myself
It's vibrating, and I just did the gearbox mount whilst doing the clutch and the upper engine mount because the car was shaking on idle. I noticed it start on the way to fcs and get worse. But that was only over 0.5 bar of boost, it wasn't speed or rpm related. That's why I was worried it was something more sinister!
It did develop a wheel wobble on the way home and start pulling left but that's something different all together I think.
I am suffering the vibration issues... I have replaced all 3 engine mounts and have just done the gearbox mount yesterday. The car still vibrates by teeth out on idle though! Can any one help please? All mounts are standard ones as I did not want any vibration!
The heat shield near the back of the exhaust had bent and was resting on the exhaust. Apparently it's fairly common, I've moved it and the vibration has almost gone!
It's no good... Nothing touching the exhaust all the way down. Any thing else any one can think of please??? It seems to get quite deep and as if it comes from the front drivers side when accelerating?
