Hi all, possiby a stupid question topic but one that has stumped Renault UK. The rear spoiler on my Megane 265 is gloss white when the car is artic white (pearlescent), I can only assume this was a mistake at the factory but I need someone to help confirm this for me. Renault are willing to repaint it the same colour as the car under warranty, but no one knows whether this was intential at the factory or not. If someone could take a close look at theirs I would really appreciate it, as I am totally stumped here. Cheers, Ben

Cheers guys really appreciate it. Its surprisingly hard to tell on mine, despite the fact the spoiler has no metallic/ pearl reflection at all. Driving me mad and it would help in the battle against renault uk
Interesting, i remember someone pointing out to me that the rear spoiler was a slightly different shade to the rest of the car and i had to agree. In a certain light is does look a little different, i assumed coz its plastic. Anyway just took another look and took a photo but its clearly Arctic white, can see the pearlescent flake. join between side of roof, left, and spoiler right
As above I've checked mine this evening and even through the levels of dirt it's definitely got the pearlescent flake.
Cheers guys!! Yep mine is definitely not right then no pearl at all on mine. That is odd and renault say its a first for them I very much doubt the last owner replaced the original spoiler to be fair, so must have been an error from the factory. Least i have some proof to show renault now, i just hope i dont create more problems for myself as the bodyshop will have to remove and refit so theyd better do a decent job
Worth noting that the 250 & 265 rear spoilers are slightly different, so might be worth checking its the right one? Just i thought.
Artic white was an optional extra colour , whereas this looks like the standard glacier white or whatever renault calls it. Muppets!! Typical renault attention to detail lol
Result!! Renault have agreed to repaint the spoiler and rear part of the roof which is metallic black under warranty. No idea whats involved with removing the spoiler but I reckon both partd are going to cost near £400-500. Close shave as the paintwork warranty runs out in a months time apparently
