The Beast from the East made its presence felt this morning when the wife slid into a post. Had a search on the forum but couldn't find part numbers. Need a bumper and the front spoiler that sits underneath the bumper and maybe an undertray. Any help with part numbers would be appreciated. A call to the garage was met with a long erm followed by an unanswered phone from parts department.
Gonna dig the insurance docs out later and weigh up claiming. Not much out there second hand from what I could find on the phone. Ill need to have a proper butchers later. Any ideas where to be looking?
Any ideas on ball park cost of painting a bumper. Not a clue what to be looking out for. Bumper is coming in at £275 so Still weighing up the idea of avoiding the insurance.
Thanks, I was guessing around the £200 Mark. Might still work out cheaper than the insurance when I estimate the raised premium for next year. The joys of owning cars.
Yeah, new bumper with delivery. Gonna jack it up today and see what else it needs. Been quoted £200 to respray and they will refit as Well.
Front Bumper on the facelift is £254.44 + VAT & remember the bottom trim, yours looks broken. These are £58.23 + VAT. Comes out at £364.40 inc VAT + paint.
Add an under tray and front part of the arch liner to that list. Not to bad considering. It could have been worse but still unwanted expenditure. Gonna sneak in the bits for the mid box delete and get that done whilst the missus isn't looking. Always a silver lining.
Undertray 622355333R is £190.83 +VAT Front grille if needed is £89.71 + VAT Wheel arch liner depending on which one, £59-£63 + VAT each. All live prices from Renault today
Is that for the full under tray. I need the front part that covers the radiator. The part covering the engine is fine. Luckily no grilles required. I can canabalise everything else from the existing bumper.
Thanks for everyone's assistance but it's ended up going through the insurance. On paper it was getting expensive with unknown work around the headlights. Possibly going down the rabbit hole, purchasing parts and finding out it needs further parts. One of those things but that's why we have insurance. Minimal cosmetic damage has turned out rather costly.
It seems the best thing to do when owning a RS Megane is not prang the front end. Body shop are waiting on parts which are expected at the end of march. Luckily I have the courtesy car but id much sooner be in the megane. Hope the parts come in earlier as I was hoping for a weekend in Wales at Easter.
