What's the best way to do this? I have lovely 19" alloys and ££ tyres on my car and tbh I probably feel a bit wary of this on track. Some 18" wheels and tyres would help overcome this (and are cheaper than buying a track car!). Where should I look/buy? (For RS265).
I may buy another set of wheels to use for track use towards the end of the year. I'm still set on wolfrace pro lite's. Demon tweeks got them for just over £400 last time I checked (17inch fyi). Someone on my Instagram uses them for track use and rates them, they look nice too imo.
Federal RS-R Tyres in 18" for £320 probably best bet for a budget track tyre. Set of OEM Cup 250 Wheels I've seen going on eBay for £400, I bought a set of battered 19" Steev's for £280! wrong size I know but just saying the OEM wheels do come up. Team Dynamics 1.3 wheels you can get a set new for £700 so really for under a £1k you can get a set of new Team Dynamics wheels and RS-R tyres. If you wait it out for a set of OEM Cup 250 wheels then you can probably get a decent wheels / tyre combo for £700.
I sold my 1.3s with almost new PS2s on them for £800 (a couple of years back), so second hand bargains will appear if you hold out for them. As EAndy said, the 1.3s will cost you around £700 on their own new + tyres.
I bought my team dynamics for £220 and get my dunlop dirreza dz03g cheap. Finding wheels just takes time
