what bucket seats do people use in there 250/265 I’m after some but not to sure what to go for any inspiration appreciated cheers
Ive been looking for a while now, and I’m after something that’s ‘clubsport’ I want to be able to still enjoy the car on the road, which a full on bucket seat will hinder. Just too uncomfortable. I initially looked at the Corbeau Clubsport, and was excited about the price. Apparently they are good for the money, but you can tell they are cheap. My main concern is that they don’t conform to any regulations, so there’s absolutely nothing to say how good they would be in a crash. So I’m now looking at Recaro Pole Positions. It’s been done a few times in a 250, and they look really good. They are just very expensive, so for me I’ll probably end up selling my standard seats to buy them, which I didn’t want to do, but makes sense.
Yeah I have had the clubsports before in my type r there pretty decent seats to be honest and good for the price ! Poles are what I want really but even second hand and out of date there massive money
You need to sit in some to get a feel for them. I tried out some pole positions before i purchased mine.I was contemplating the Corbeau`s. My std non recaro seats were uncomfy on a long run, but the pole positions are miles better. If you can, find someone who has them fitted in a car.
I was looking at the corbeau s ones there similar to the poles I believe but think the poles are better think @Bowen should swap me his seats for mine
i would say if you want to keep your car for a long period, go for the Recaro. i have a pair of SPG in my 205GTi for over a decade, i still rate it the best.
Have somebody installed Corbeau seats? I talked with factory and they do not have mountings for MK3. How safe it is to do mountings locally? Also Factory RS seats have airbags, will it give some kind of error on dash?
