Hi all, Im going to change discs and pads all round soon. I have lots of questions! I have brought new pins for the brembo front calipers, should i also buy the repair kit, and new pistons? I have a 225 lux, would the r26 red rear calipers be an upgrade over my current rear set up? Which discs and pads front and back please? Braided lines and new fluid?
Hi 225 and r26 rear calipers are different (mountings), standard HC Brembo disc's for the front are good enough for track days so are more than adequate for the road. Braided lines and racing brake fluid are great upgrades. If you are confident enough to do the caliper seals then it would be worth doing as i doubt they have ever been changed.
Brill thank you. Will seals be enough? Should i change the pistons too, or are they unlikely to have worn?
If you have a ph2 225 the rear calipers are the same as the r26 calipers. Only ph1 225 have different rear calipers.
