Brake pedal

  1. Any suggestion or ideas on increasing the brake pedal’s feel. My RS250CUP brake pedal feel very sponge in a sense or that is normal among other mk3 as well? I changed the brake fluid and braided brake line already, currently using PBS pro track pads. Didn’t make much difference.

Who did the fluid change ????
If you did it then i would say you have air in the abs unit (been there done that) you need to get it on a machine to open up the valves then bleed it.
Do you track the car or is it just road use, if you track it then throw those pads in the bin, i did with mine, but if its for the road then there okay.

  3. Have you changed the clutch damper pipe as well.

  4. Could be clutch damper. Replace this with the delete pipe and then bleed the clutch with the same fluid to make sure all the air is out.

  5. Just my local garage, unfortunately I do track mine and PBS are the “good” ones that I came across. A set only last for two track days, what’s your recommendation? I forgot to mention brake fluid was also leaking from the nipples at donington last weekend.

Personally i would go for Carbon Lorraine RC8's in a Mk3, great on the road bit from cold no problem, killer on track never ever had a hint of fading after many laps at a time, had so much confidence in them i never had to kink they weren't going to be there when needed and they would last a good few trackdays 5+.

The PBS failed while i was at the ring on the second lap, came up to Bergwerk hit the brakes and had less than 30% of what i was expecting, good job i had some RC8's to replace them with.
