265 Boost / Power lost if driven faster

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Veit, Mar 16, 2016.

  1. I have a Megane 3 RS CUP-S
    about 5.000km on the clock.

I have the Problem, that, if driven harder/faster the boost pressure will go dorn to arround 0,6bar instead of arround 1,2bar.

The Problem exist nearly every time a want to drive faster than 200km/h.

Sometimes it happens later, sometimes sooner.

If the boost go down, it will stay down, even ift i decrease speed an go in 4th or 5tg gear.

A few Minutes later it will boost up to 1,2-1,3bar again.

Some guys told me, it could be the BOV.
So I orderd the Forge BOV with the blue spring.

    Same problem.

I got one Update from Renault.

    Same Problem.

    I logges the data yesterday.

Renault Germany thinks it´s a Software problem.

    What do you think ?

    What about the Actuator?
If it doesn´t work correct, maybe the ECU can´t lower the boost PR312 "Druck Kollektor" to the PR009 "Soll-Wert"?

Is here anyone with the same problem ?
How did you fix it ?

In Germany there are at least 3 Cars with this problem....

    Best Regards
    Veit

  2. I had a similar problem with my GT-R, after looking over data and seeing the issue across both banks it confused me. Anyway my issue in the end was actually the actuator. It had basically become a bit worn and it wasn't able to hold the pressure so when it was supposed to open at 18psi for example, it was opening at 12psi thus meaning I was down on power.

Changed these out and hey presto problem.

  3. I think u got a leak

  4. Other Ideas ?

  5. If it only has 5000km on the clock let Renault solve it?

What is used for datalogging? Looks good

  6. Was already at the Garage....

They asked Renault Deutschland, and Renault Deutschland asked France....

But no solution at this time.
    It will take 2-4weeks !?

Recorded with the Clip from the Garage....

  7. even if this is not just a one-off, chances are it will be hard to find other incidents/knowledge of this problem, if you need to go past 200 km/t to trigger it :-(

  8. Nobody any ideas ?

Can't believe that no one els got this problem.
In Germany there are 2 with this problem.
And one with this problem solved. at this car, it was an broken cable from the boost-vent.
Not shure hw to cheak this...

    Tested already:
Forge BOV with blue Spring - same result.
Forge Wastegate/Actuator with yellow spring - problem happens earlier, maybe yellow spring is to soften...
