Had this lovely Z3M roadster in last week for some detailing work. The befores: Washed with the usual two bucket method and then blowdried inside the garage: I could see some of the marks already: Then onto the clay bar: Paint depth measurements taken: Few bits covered and masked up: Onto the correction stages, these are abit muddled up due to photobucket being a pain:
Then a finishing stage was done to clear the paintwork up and wiped down: Then onto the protection raceglaze nano sealant was chosen: Machined on: Onto the wheels and arches:
Exhausts Cleaned: Bit of residue inside the car of when it's been previously polished: Protected: Engine sorted: Roof protected: Few other bits dressed and tidied then outside for some pictures:
Nice one Ed, don't see many red ones. My dad had a Z3M Coupe back in the day, a metallic yellow one, a bit quirky but definitely something about them, roundabouts in the wet could be interesting.....
Just a quick one; the work you do is phenomenal, but can't help but notice the calipers aren't cleaned over? The picture of the front wheel with the red caliper- can't help but think if that was cleaned over, it'll look and really bring out the red behind the wheels? unless it's the picture/lighting..?
Calipers were cleaned up but sadly all of the paint is ready to lift and flake off so apart from being cleaned up they were left at the owners wish as it would of taken a good amount of prep and paint to get them back to a nice finish.
Great job Ed! Its Tom Snelling here, used to have the Punto GT (RIP!). Good to see youre still keeping up with the detailing business mate, may have a couple of cars for you to do at some point! Ive just got a silver R26 for track and my brother has a blue Brera. Doing any track days?>
Hello Tom Blimey it's been a while, what do you think of the r26 mate. got brands gp booked next Wednesday not 100% I can make it yet though.
Its a proper motor, performance out of the box through the twisties instead off having to spend to get it is nice! Doing Bedford on Aug 1st then Brands on the 19th possibly.
What a great looking car, and, as always, a top job done by yourself. Can I ask whereabouts your located? my paintwork is a mess,,,,,
