Blow Off Valve unit

  1. hey guys , i have a megane rs 265 what is the name of the particle in the image (see red arrow)
    i was thinking of dump valve .. is it ?
    i lost one of the screws as you can see

  2. Yep, that’s the recirculating dump valve. If it’s leaking a significant amount of air on boost, be aware that this will cook your turbo bearings, as it’ll be spinning much faster than usual if there’s no pressure on the compressor side to slow it down.

  3. it’s leaking significantly cause i lost 1 screw u can see in the pic , do u advice to avoid driving till i repair it ?

  4. You'll probably be ok if you're very light on the throttle and avoid any high revs. Any heavy-throttle action will mean the turbo will be spinning up and this could cause the damage. Really though, you want to get it sorted asap - the bolt is probably a common sized M6.
