Bleed screw on thermastat

  1. Im checking for an air leak and i assume one of the bleed screws is on the stat? Before i start can anyone just let me know the process please. I have type d coolant at the ready :smile:

  4. So you want to bleed the system.

    First run it upto temp with expansion tank open they that first

    So run the car upto to temp with the cap off with the heaters on full heat?
    Unscrew the bolt on the housing. I had a quick look (in work today) and assume its the top bolt nearest the pipe?

    Then the coolant will start to come out and check it runs smooth?
