    Hi
Does anyone know the thread size for the bleed nipples for the Brembo front callipers and rear callipers on an R26.
I have a stripped thread in my rear driver side calliper and want to try fitting some Stainless nipples to see if it will reclaim the thead and seal up.
Next option is repair or replace. Anyone had success repairing a rear calliper thread, I find conflicting reports online.
I'm in Somerset if anyone can reccommend where to get it fixed or replaced.
    Thanks
    Rob

  2. If the threads are stripped on the caliper itself I wouldn't bother trying to put another nipple in, if you could get a hold of a tap and die set and re-tap the hole, jobs a good yun

Yeah as Keenan said, Don't just get a new nipple in the hope it will be fine, Thats a proper bodge.

Get the thread re tapped and do it properly

Thanks for the replies. The nipple looks totally knackerd half way down. Not 100% sure on condition of calliper threads. Will try to find a finishing tap in work. Anyone know what size. Looks like an M10 fine pitch. Suprised the fluid is still leaking out. Left it in gear with handbrake off so suprised it is leaking as much as it is. Guess it just the pressure from the reservoir being higher than the calliper.
