Black badge covers - ebay cheap!

Discussion in 'General Chat' started by Azagedon, Aug 2, 2013.

  1. I've been considering these for my 250, but I'm not sure how it would go with the red. I think black generally goes well with the red but I'm not so sure with the badges. Has anyone got any pictures of them fitted to a red 250?

  2. I've also been thinking about black on black on my 265 but might be too much....but might complete that "stealth" look lol....I really don'y know!!

  3. Its better on CF

  5. Morning all, what the best way to get the original badges off. Any special nack to it ?

  6. Think I'm going to be going for this ! Might get round to ordering them today

  7. Iv got these on my car, had them for about 2-3 months and just used the self adhesive pads they came with to attach, have had no issues with them not been secure or fading as of yet :tongueout:

Pics aren't great but you can see how they look!!

  8. Both of you post hi-res pics and ill photoshop them, wont take 5 mins.

Front badge bumper off (like for everything on these bloody things), 4 clips hold it in.
The rear leavers out, have to be very careful on the paint though.

D19183, looking good! I wont need a spot of tiger seal then?

  9. I debated the tiger seal idea, but for the price thought what the heck-let's see how they go and then if anything happens-reorder, then seal them for good!!

  10. 3 months later.. Ther still on and secure.. Numerous jet washes and the 4 pads per badge are holding up great!!!

  11. I managed to blast the ones on my R26 off with a jet wash ! I put a bit of tiger seal type stuff on them, only a tiny blob and all was good

  12. I gave mine a clean with brake cleaner before I put them on, warmed up the double sided tape too just to help. Now they're not going anywhere!!

  13. I think ill do that too, got some tiger seal in the garage. Cant wait to get these with wind deflectors too. Then I just need to spray my bullets and door pulls to match (:

  14. me and my lads got them on black cars look great and wind deflectors on mine

Ha cheers mate. Like most, they all look clean until up close :worried:

  21. If bought would I have to remove the badges to fit the black covers ?

No they literally stick on top.

  23. Brilliant. Thanks Will.

Small pic of mine stuck on, however I'm looking for some vinyl to go in the middle of the badge just so you can actually see what it is! Too much black....

    Rear one is perfect...

  25. ^^^ nice ! Where'd you get the Renaultsport sticker from for the front blade ?

  26. I only got one pic of cf badge cover, is very similar to the black one. I got the front and back cover, a friend of my makes them artesanily , the cost was bout £30.

  27. Just ordered these for my Red 250, hopefully get some pictures up next week.

  28. I'd cancel them, the first ones I had you could see the chrome inside the Renault diamond !!! I requested new ones but only received the front today, which is still a crap fit. I will be asking for a full refund and getting some streamline carbon ones

  29. I had it made up at work. You want one?

  30. And why not some plastidip on the oem logos and thats it

  31. I do yessssss.... How much paypalage will entice you to send one over to me ? Pm if you like

Used a spot of tiger seal (nasty stuff on your hands and anything it touches!) just to be safe .

  33. Mine are wrapped in gloss vinyl. Not as smooth or factory looking as these caps seem to be.

    Still looks good though.

I would order the caps if I was doing it again.

I was tempted to use some super glue but when I trial fitted them without pulling the sticky pads off, I found it was such a snug fit that I had faith they wouldn't fall off.

  35. They do fit very well indeed, I'm chuffed with the results!

  36. Fitted these today. You should be able to see from the pictures that they are not a completely snug fit, especially the back badge. Not too sure about the back badge with the "MEGANE" lettering but it's getting debadged anyway.

Sorry about the poor pictures but it's been a long day and I was more concerned about getting my dinner!

  37. Look like a good fit. Get rid of that Arnold Clark sticker amd the rear end would look loads better!

  38. I've been wanting to get rid of the Arnold Clark sticker since I got the car a couple months ago but not got round to it, rest assured though it'll be gone soon

  39. Sorry mate, just back from holiday...yes PLEASE let me see pics of yours when you put them up Jonny....I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks mate,

    Tony
