Best way to clean the engine.

  1. Hey guys,

Looking at cleaning the engine bay up. Seeing as its not been cleaned since I had it and the only area that has been somewhat neglected, I feel its the right time to put it right.

What stuff is best to get it sorted? Its pretty filthy so may require some effort. If possible want it looking spotless as I'm looking at tarting it up with some hoses etc so any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers
    Paul.

  2. Auto Finesse Citrus Power and a Detailing brush.

  6. Mine was filthy too, not been cleaned since the car was bought by the looks of it.

I took the engine cover and black plastic trim pieces off, cleaned them with a detailing brush and Autoglym engine cleaner and treated the black plastics with some trim restorer, but thats not necessarily needed though.

Then for the engine and ancillaries I just had a bucket of warm water, a damp microfibre sprayed with Autoglym engine cleaner and wiped everything down. Came up a treat.
