250 Bedding in new discs and pads

  1. Hello everyone, I'm getting new discs and pads within a week and i wandered what the best way of bedding them in is?
I've read online that 10 brake cycles from 70-10 mph using 80% brake pressure. Others say take it easy on the brakes for the first 250 miles.
It's the standard cup discs so grooved and standard Brembo pads being fitted.
    Thanks in advance

  2. I've used a similar pattern to the 70-10, maybe 6 cycles though. Make sure you cruise in a dual carriageway or Mway after to cool them a touch, and park in gear/no brakes on to prevent the pads sticking. Always worked for me.

  3. Drive it as if you picked the car up from new then , normal driving if there all standar parts

  4. I've always read the manufacturer instructions specific to the pad, if anyone knows the best way to bed them in it'll be the people that designed them.

EBC state light use over 300 miles and Ferodo do 25 stops with 50% brake pressure ( which I always find a PITA cos I live nowhere near any remote roads ).
