Went to fit some BC coilovers yesterday and unfortunately they do not seem to fit. The tube that fits into the hub carrier is quite loose, the top of the hub is angled slightly off 90degrees to the bore, and the retainer does definitely not go down far enough to fit the retaining bolt through. Has anybody else had this issue when ordering them for the R26? Is there more than one hub carrier design between the 225s and R26? And does anybody have any idea what care they are for?
the ring position and angle is right, there was a discussion on here a good couple of years ago, but it looks like the bracket has been placed too high, r26 and 225 hubs are the same
Cheers mate, cant see in the photo but the rod that goes down into the hub is over a inch from getting to the bottom too, the retaining lug covers the bolt hole so cant do them up anyway.
I am sure on mine that you can see the end of the shock unit slightly showing through the bottom, so it looks like you have the wrong ones, or maybe the wrong car is there any part numbers on the strut
Only labeling on the struts is; RENAULT 0-10 02-09 Megane II FR (front right?) Want them for your dci?
If they don't fit yours then they wont fit the Dci, so ill give you £100 for them as they are used how much did you pay for them
£639 + the dreaded. Going to send them back not much else I can do for now. Ill call them Tueaday and see if they can come up with something pronto!
