BC Coilover Fitting

  1. I can't seem to find a guideline for the fitting of BC coilovers.

Anyone know how easy it is? And any tips I should try.

I'm pretty good with a spanner so I'm not too worried about fitting them, I just don't want to go into it blind.

    Any help I see appreciated

  2. No different to any other shock. You can do it without removing the hub if you have a spring compressor.

  3. Make sure you build the bcs up before fitting, crucially set the front pre load correctly before fitting. Loads of guides on YouTube to set pre-load.

  4. Is it just the standard 4mm of preload you use?

  5. Yes. It's the width of the bc adjustment spanners, which is a clever touch from them.

  6. The preload makes nothing to you. What you really want is to make sure shock piston is on the middle of the stroke under the weight of your car. Measure length oh shock fully extended and fully compressed and after installation setup preload to get in the middle stroke. Then use the thread between shock body and the part attached to the hub to set the height. This is the correct way of doing it.
