Recently had a new battery on my megane old one was dead. When driving the car hard i get a battery light come on the dash to the right of speedo and also the stop sign lights up. Anyone else had this problem I have no idea what it could be? Battery is brand new thought this would sort the problem but it hasn't.. help. Many thanks
Probably a loose earth cable. I get it sometimes straight after hard acceleration, stays on for a few seconds then it clears. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Does alternator charges your battery properly? Way to check is: start engine Get voltmeter prongs on battery terminal Should read around 14V ish. If reading is lower then alternator does not charge the battery at all or not enough.
I have bought something to check it, car is still under warranty until 2020 so will not have to come out of my pocket if new alternator is needed
