I've had an absolute nightmare ownership so far. Picked up my 275 trophy, got it booked in to have the front end re sprayed to sort out some stone chips, that took about 2 weeks as they kept pushing me back, when i got it it was a terrible match so have to book it in again for a later date. In between this date someone drives into the back of me. Insurance company has had it for over a month now, I got it back today, the paintwork was generally ok, there were a couple of areas I wasn't happy with so it's gone back again. The biggest one is the akrapovic exhaust heat shield trim thing looks way off. Can anyone check theirs and let me know what's the different? The shape, colour and placement looks off to me? Also, with the akras, was it just the back box that was akrapovic? The inner heat shield looks off-center to me, but need a better, head on pic to see really. Pic below isn't the greatest, but that's how it should look. The liquid yellow is notoriously difficult to match. You'd probably have been told on here not to bother if you wanted a exact job. There's a reason it's a £1600 option. The Akrapovic should be cat-back. If the garage has replaced it with a standard item, you have been ripped off, either by the garage or your insurance company.
Thanks for the advice man, they did a decent job on the spray, just two very small areas on the skirt that bothered me. I bought my car de-catted so does the akra run from back box to cat? Are there any centre silencers between the cat and the back box? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
The Akrapovic runs from the cat (or cat replacement pipe in your case) to the tailpipe. Yes there should be a mid silencer. (ignore the arrow)
Just for future info, the factory Akrapovic retains the original steel front section with flexi in, and is slip-jointed so is more of a flexi-back than a cat-back system, and yes it has a center silencer and a back-box on the factory option
