Are there two types of wheel spacer?

  1. I was going to buy somehubcentric wheel spacers but my mechanic said not to get the bolt through ones but to instead get the bolt to hub ones? Is there a difference and is he right.

If so what should I be looking for? I'd found some with the long bolts for £60 20mm are the bolt to hub ones more?

  2. As long as they are hubcentric it's your choice.
I've got 20mm front and rear with longer bolts.

I painted the outer edge same colour as the new discs so they are barely noticeable now.[IMG]

  4. technically, I guess there's 3 types, 1) bolt-through, 2) with studs for wheel nuts, 3) with threads for wheel bolts..

  5. are any safer for the long term for the wheel etc?

  6. It makes no difference wether they are bolt thru or bolt on. You will most likly find that any that are larger than 20mm are bolt on and less than 20 are bolt thru.

Id go for h and r or eibach not cheap ebay ones.
