  1. Keyless entry:

If the car is locked and I have key in my pocket and I walk up and pull handle, should the door open?

If so, Mine doesn't work, but it will lock when I walk away with fob?

    Any ideas?

  2. You don't have to pull the handle, just put your hand in the recess between car door and handle and it should unlock.

Change the cards battery as that can make them intermittent failing that the door sensor might be broken.

  3. I'm not so sure. When I walk up to the car the car doesn't unlock. When I pull the pull handle the car unlocks directly ...

    Yes it should.

  4. keyless entry only works when you leave the car to lock itself when you walk away, when you use the keycard to lock the car you disable the auto function.

    KillieRs and 197gaz like this.
  5. This is correct, if I just pull the handle then I have to pull it twice.

If I put my hand in the gap first, it unlocks then I pull the handle.

  6. I had problems with mine when i first got it, batteries replaced and it works perfectly every time.

  7. I always have to press the rubber button on the door handle to unlock it when it's locked by keyless, was told so when I bought it.

Sort of eleminates the point of having keyless to me..

  8. Mine doesn't like it when its in my pocket with my credit cards/ wallet. Works fine at all other times, so could be worth keeping in mind?

  9. Pretty sure you only press the door button to lock. And having the key next to your phone can disrupt the signal.

  10. Mine you dont press anything. Get out of the car and walk away thats it. On return grab the door handle and get in.

    197gaz and RHK3 like this.
  11. is there a sensor on the handle? it should be visible, i think they removed it on the later versions although mines one of the last 250's and it's there.

I do sometimes make the error of reaching in and pulling to fast before the sensor has time to see and unlock.

My card hasn't come out my wallet in a year accept to change to battery last month when the dash told me the battery was low.

  12. Yeh theres a sensor inside the lining of the handle, got continental written on it, that detects the key, but its the sensor behind the handle that picks up you trying to open it.
