   I need to remove the roof rack mounting strips to get repainted - previous owner fitted a roof rack and scratched the crap out of them - tried removing one at the weekend but couldn't get the ends to release - now damaged one side right at the end so needs replacing - just wondering how you get them off and how I would fit new replacements
