I read that it is a very quick circuit with not a huge amount of run off. Has anyone driven there? I imagine with such high speeds it is hard on both brakes and tyres or is a smoother/faster track like Goodwood less so? Thanks, Tom
Goodwood is a very fast circuit, If you go off there expect to make contact with something, I have only passengered there but i wouldn't recommend it to inexperienced track drivers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jF__B1xpJY One of my favourite videos of Goodwood... but you get the idea re speed etc!! Looks like a very punishing track if you get it wrong!
Been there, it's one of the fastest tracks in the UK. Don't be fooled into thinking theres lots of run off, if you run out of talent it's going to hurt. It's not a like an airfield it's a proper track.
I've been a passenger around goodwood as it's only down the road but it is a very fast circuit and not very friendly if you mess up.
It's a Ford gt40 for those interested.... That exact one belongs to a certain Mr Adrian Newey of Red Bull! And the guy driving is Kenny brack. This was after he had a major accident on the indy circuit over in the states, which makes it all the more impressive that he came back from a near death crash and can still drive like that!!!
If you enjoy watching classic car racing like that I can't recommend the Goodwood Revival enough. All kinds of incredible exotic machinery actually racing. The sounds and the smells, it's pure porn!
