I'm going to cut the roof skin out of my r26 as it's being replaced with a custom carbon fibre panel. wondering if it's just a case of cutting it out? Fortunately I've got a spare shell I can practice on first lol.
Not made anything yet but yeah will be making a mould of the roof skin and making a full carbon piece.
Not really, for example the mk2 clios are spot welded down each side and bonded which makes replacing it extremely difficult and expensive to get a non wavey finish and no distortion. Whereas the mk3 clio is bolted down and in comparison a very simple job to remove and replace. I'm not sure how they've done it with the megs but there are certainly different ways of fitting roof skins and renault alone use a few designs.
