225 Anti Rotation Link issues

  1. I'm at a bit of a loss...

I replaced the passenger side tie rods, drop link and anti rotation link. All is well.

I'm now doing the driver side, and the anti rotation link is causing me grief.

The replacement part is identical to the old one, the correct part number etc etc, however the portion that attachs to the lower control arm runs out of thread before torque'ing (sp.) down and therefore has a large degree of slop.

I tried placing the supplied washers behind the nut, in front of the link ball joint (just out if desperation) and nothing works.

I compared the old and new links extensively, ran them both down their respective threads to compare the distances left and everything is the same.

Have I missed something, bone achingly obvious?

    Many thanks in advance.

  2. The spacer slipped out and slid down the control arm, but of Google fu explained it and I just dug it out.

    I am. Le spoon.
